Zusammenfassung
In diesem höchst eigenständigen Werk erweitert Brown seine mikrogenetische Theorie auf Probleme des Gedächtnisses in Bezug auf den Zustand des Geistes/Gehirns und die subjektive Zeit, auf das Handeln als Umsetzung des Triebes und auf die Handlungsfähigkeit, sowie die intrinsische Basis des Gefühls. Während die Beiträge in dieser Sammlung die äußerste Reichweite der Theorie und vorerst ihre konzeptionelle Grenze darstellen, dürfte die Ausrichtung einer qualitativen Neuropsychologie auf einige Hauptprinzipien der Prozessphilosophie zu aufschlussreichen Überlegungen in beiden Denkrichtungen führen.
Abstract
This highly original work extends Brown’s microgenetic theory to problems of memory in relation to the mind/brain state and subjective time, to action as the implementation of drive and to agency and the intrinsic ground of feeling. While the papers in this final collection represent the furthermost reach of the theory and, for now, its conceptual limit, the alignment of a qualitative neuropsychology with some main principals of process philosophy should lead to more insightful thinking in both domains of thought.
